68 Vignaioli is named after the group of 68 progressive grape growers who in 1952 created Cantina Sampietrana. The winery is located in the Salento area of Puglia (the “heel” of the Italian boot). Known for its hot and dry weather, the region tends to produce big and bold wines, and it takes skill to bring out the more refined and elegant qualities of the grapes
This is a deep ruby red wine with notes of woodland berries, and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Soft tannins and a persistent finish complete the experience.
