Little-known Croatina is an
indigenous grape of
Lombardy’s Oltrepo Pavese, literally “other side of the Po River from
Pavia”.
Bordered by Piedmont, Liguria and Emilia-Romagna, the area makes some
wonderful
wines that often don’t get the attention they deserve. The picture on the label
is Bacchus, the mythical Roman God of wine. Here he shows the social
and
beneficial influences of having great wine. |
