The winery of Terra
d'Arcoiris, was started by Paola Leonardi and Walter Loesch in 1987, a couple
who passionately believe in growing their vines and producing wine without
chemicals—there is a much sought after “organically grown” stamp on each
bottle. This gem of a vineyard is near the village of Chianciano in Tuscany. Walter
and Paola are also great fans of fruit-juices, all produced lovingly by hand,
and of course, organically. Tasting Notes: One whiff, one
taste, and you can feel the
passion that went into making this wine. It sings with aromas and
flavors of
earthy dark cherries. Chewy in texture, this fine Chianti, aged just
three
months in barriques, is full in body, with a long, long finish.
